Caring for Linen: Washing and Ironing Tips
What you need to know to extend the life of linen and keep its texture.
Linen is a summer essential thanks to its breathable structure and natural texture. With proper care it gets softer with every wash.
Washing
Wash at 30–40 °C on a gentle cycle with similar colours. Avoid detergents with bleach; they weaken the fibres.
Drying
Line drying instead of tumble drying prevents shrinkage. Shaping the garment while slightly damp reduces the need for ironing.
Ironing
Iron inside out on high heat with steam. Linen naturally creases a little; that is part of its character.
